Stories" by Mutts cartoonist Patrick McDonnell is one book to add to
your summer reading list.
For those who follow the Mutts cartoon strip, McDonnell often covers the subject of shelter pets looking for love. It's been 10 years since he started interspersing the stories within the strip, and now there's enough to fill a book.
The shelter stories within the strip have also had another very positive benefit: McDonnell has received numerous letters from Mutts fans letting him know that his work inspired them to visit their local facility to find lifelong love. Great work all around!
