Taking therapy pets to a whole new level

Thu, 08/21/2008 - 16:26

Therapy dogs? Yep. Therapy cats? Ok. Therapy horse? Whoa! (yes, the pun is intended!)

Meet Petie the Horse, who at home can be known to wander the neighborhood and get pretty "rambunctious" playing a game of tag. However, when he arrives at "work", he turns heads and brings smiles to the patients at the Akron Children's Hospital or Rainbow Babies in Cleveland, Ohio.

Petie is believed to be the only certified therapy pet that is a horse.
